MAJOR EVENTS

Three major events are held each year, one each for men and women and a mixed event that attract competitors from all over the state.

Harcourts West Coast Open is a 54 hole men's, annual tournament for amateurs played over the Queens Birthday long weekend Sept/Oct.  The first tournaments were 72 hole "open" events which attracted the state's best. In 1981 it became a three round event and has been contested by amateurs only since 1987.  The honour board reads like a "Who's Who" of Western Australian Golf. 2011 Trophy Winners

  • Stephen Leaney was a 5 times winner
  • Ross Metherell 4 times
  • Adam Davey 3 times
  • Dean Alaban, Dennis Bell and Terry Gale were dual winners
  • Kim Felton, Roger Mackay & Graham Marsh.

Harcourts Geographe Ladies' Golf Classic (Held in March) is a 36 hole stroke event that has become one of the most popular events for amateur women in Western Australia.  Helen Beatty, Anna Parsons and Nicole Montgomery are all multiple winners.  Alison Crooks and Rochelle Miles have also won and, in a fairy tale finish,  Busselton's Pam Criddle won the inaugural tournament at the last hole. 2011 Trophy Winners

Harcourts Leaney Cup (Held in November) , a 36 hole tournament for mixed pairs. There were separate men's and women's stableford competitions on the first day followed by a mixed 4 ball better ball stableford competition on Sunday. Both competitively and socially the event is a success and it is now a highlight in the Club's annual fixtures.

Other than those events above, two other events of significance are also held during the year;

South West Junior Open (Held in November) sponsored by Stephen Leaney and The Golf Box. Open to all junior girls and boys and attracts the best golfing junior talent in the state.

Streamline Summer Cup is a 18 Hole Stableford event played in January for Men and Women.
